At first, we were just two kids who lived a couple of streets away from each other. Then, we were just two kids who started hanging out on snow days and shooting crappy bands in Atlanta until way too late together. After that, decided to start photographing weddings and families together, for the sheer convenience. We'd have never guessed that we'd now be two (retrospectively) high school sweethearts getting ready to say, "I do."
Unified by a love for the Earth and the people who live in it.
We consider ourselves so blessed to get to do what we do. I mean, holy crap. We never thought we'd be getting to travel the country to photograph all different kinds of people from a diverse group of cultures, races, religions, and creeds. When we started this business, we vowed to never let the "business-y" side take over our passion for people and our desire to show love to all we are privileged enough to meet. First and foremost, kindness is what is most important to us; we believe in throwing around kindness like confetti. Every day is an exercise in learning to find the beauty in all people, and helping them to find the beauty in themselves. Our goal is to use our craft to leave the world a more lovely place.
Get to Know Jack
Jack is a man of few words. It's entirely possible that you'll go your whole session without hearing him say a word, aside from greetings and goodbyes. That's for good reason, though; Jack is always making beauty in his head. When he's in "creating mode," he's ceaselessly framing, finding light, seeing things in ways the rest of us never could. Jack loves David Fincher films, hip hop, hot wings, our animals (Daisy, Graves, and Benny,) his momma, and me. Jack's the kind of dude who would pick you up off the side of the road in the middle of the night, and somehow make you belly laugh about your car being broken down. Jack is an absolutely brilliant illustrator. I smile to think of all the waiters and waitresses who've found one of his masterpieces scribbled on an old napkin. Jack is awesome, and I can't wait for you to meet him.
Get to Know Jenna
Jenna, on the other hand, would not be described as a person of few words. Perhaps, "A person of endless references to 'The Office' and spontaneous karaoke." Jenna loves to sing, and if you work with us in any capacity, you will be sung at/about/to at one point or another. Jenna loves any and all of the original Disney movies, particularly Peter Pan. Second star to the right, and straight on 'till morning. It's her favorite movie of all time, hands down. She loves to write people letters and give people gifts and work on sudoku puzzles. The way to her heart is through sweets or champagne (or better yet... both!) If you bring this girl a chocolate chip cookie, you've got a friend for life. She will make friends with any animal around. Almost anything will make her happy cry, including but not limited to: nice commercials, beautiful trees, movies with good endings, pretty songs, animals snuggling, and (get this) weddings. Meeting Jenna is going to make your life better.
